Grocery outing and going "Dutch"

This past week Cole experienced his first grocery store outing. We were curious to see how he would handle being out of his familiar surroundings and placed into a high stimulus environment with many new faces around. All in all... he did pretty well.

After having a fussy spell shortly after arriving, Cole settled in and was pretty calm.... until he gave us a bit of a scare.

As we were wrapping up the shopping and had procured all of the items on our list, Cole made a break for it. We were shocked to watch as he headed right for the bakery to see if there were any treats to his liking. Luckily, we were able to track him down in short order but not before he made a play for a rice crispy treat.

Once we collected Cole and headed for the checkout line we were again flabbergasted to watch as Cole went seeking for a piece of his heritage... his Dutch heritage. He found it right in the beer aisle.

After heading home and seeing that Cole was interested in learning more about The Netherlands we gathered up some of his clothes that he received from Holland and had him give them a try.

He even took the time to pose for us.

Just another day in the life of Cole David Black
